Weekly weigh-ins update

I haven't updated my weekly weigh-ins, but I thought I'd check in with you all. I'm still weighing in every Saturday morning at 10am. My weight has been fluctuating all over the place. One week I'll be 193, then the next 190.2. (This past Saturday I weighed in at 190.2). I need to step away from that silly scale!

I've been back to work for two weeks now and it's been quite a tough adjustment. I was trying to maintain my daily routine of workouts, dog walks, and hitting 10,000 steps and it pretty much drove me into a pool of tears one night. My husband gave me a good talking to  and told me that I was trying to fit too much into each day (on top of working 8 hours, I was commuting 1.5 hours per day, trying to fit in chores, and also make and clean-up dinner). It was pretty much impossible.

So, for my sanity's sake, I'm taking it down a notch. I'm still wearing my Fitbit and working towards my 10,000 step goal, but I'm not making a big deal if I don't make it each day. My current schedule, which seems to be working much better is this: rotate workouts and dog walks and combine strength training on the same day I do cardio. So my week looks more like this fitness wise:

Sunday: Gym - cardio and strength
Monday: Dog walk
Tuesday: Gym - cardio and strength
Wednesday: Dog walk
Thursday: Gym - cardio and strength
Friday: Rest (and have a couple of glasses of wine!)
Saturday: Extra long dog walk

I adjust the schedule based on my needs as things come up. So far, so good!

Also, I am starting to notice that my clothes are fitting a little better. I might not be really budging on the scale, but I am definitely turning out some new muscle, which is fabulous. I feel great with my workouts and I think I can keep this up while being back at work. Phew!

So what was the point of this post? I'm not going to make the weekly weigh-in posts every week. I'm just going to check in here and again. I'll post other things and talk about my workouts and treatments, but my weight not so much. There will be updates, though. I just might do it more on a monthly schedule instead. And, I'm still tracking in MyFitnessPal, so between all of that, I think I'll stay right on track.
